Last Day To See Viking Ship In Plymouth

Ladies and Gentleman, behold the Draken Harald Harfagre, pronounced Draken3 Harald Harfragre.

She is the largest modern-built Viking ship, and how the Minnesota football team should travel when they play any Great Lakes-based teams.

She is 115 feet of pure Norwegian Wood... oak, I believe. Isn't it good? She is also how every America's Cup race would have looked if Norway won WWII.

A picture is worth 1000 words, especially when the question is "Why don't you have any pictures from inside the boat?"

She is in Plymouth through Friday. After that, she heads to Maine for the rest of July. She goes through Massachusetts and Rhode Island in early August, then she heads south.

If the Cold Miser had a Navy, it'd probably look something like this.

It isn't a cruise ship, and both black guys and white tuxedos were most likely in short supply in 760 AD Norway... but this boat could have used an Issac. If they had a barkeep whipping up Valhalla Punch, I most likely would have made it aboard.

I do wonder if she tried to steal the Mayflower's parking spot, seeing as the Pilgrim boat is in Mystic, CT for repairs. She ended up by Plymouth's harbor master shack, which looks like where Captain Bob lived.

Friday is her last day in Plymouth. You can board her until 5 PM, then she sails out at 7:30 PM. If you are thinking of stowing away, her  Maine stops are Rockland and Portland.
