Merry Christmas From Cranberry County

We wish you and yours a happy holiday season.

We drove around Plymouth and Kingston to check some holiday lighting.

Sometimes we stopped the car, sometimes we shot on the fly.

Shooting pics from a moving car provides a trails effect that I don't otherwise get since I stopped taking recreational hallucinogens.

I love Chistmas decorations, but I have to live vicariously through other people. I don't have an outdoor electrical socket, so no lights. I also have Disaster Cat, so I can't have a tree.

I sort of get trickle-down joy from wealthier people who don't have Disaster Cats.

One of the benefits of being unlovable is that it gives the author time on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day to take pictures and write captions.

This is too meticulously set up to get that Griswald look.

If everyone lit their houses like this, Rudolph would be redundant.

My snowman didn't survive to Christmas, but he was well-loved in life

The Christmas Sub

Nothing like a Christmas story in late March, right?

The Deli, located in the spectacularly named town of Sandwich, has a weekly contest. They put a trivia question on the menu board. Whoever solves it first gets either a breakfast sandwich a day for a week or a three foot sandwich.

Stephen, who knows all sorts of useless stuff, walked in, ordered a pastrami sandwich, saw the question ("Where is the city of Batman located?" They don't mean Gotham City, by the way... that's "in" New Jersey) and answered- appropriately for a deli- "Turkey."

Boom! That 400 level Ottoman Empire class just paid for itself, player.

Steve ended up collecting on Christmas Eve, visited a friend who was down on his luck enough to have no Christmas Eve dinner and became the most popular guy in Cedarville.

We forgot to publish the article in December, but maybe this little Christmas miracle will brighten your day.

Stop by The Deli and get a sandwich. They're good people, it's harder than you think to find a good deli and these people do it properly.

One Yard Light Show On Cape Cod

We heard about a guy in Sandwich who may have a 10000 dollar electric bill, so we sent a crew to check it out.

Meet the Gibbs family.

They live off of Route 6A in Sandwich.

The late Mrs. Gibbs always loved her Christmas lights, and when she passed away, the son decided on exactly the sort if tribute I want when I move on to the Answer.

The whole yard is done up with lights.

It is also open to the public.

They ask that you enter the yard by crossing over their back porch.

They ask that you donate a canned food item for the Sandwich food bank.

I took too many pics to write captions for.

Click on any pic to enlarge.
