Deerscaping

We have a case here where either 1) my sister has Hobbits living in her yard, 2) although she thought she lived in Duxbury, she actually lives in a Super Mario game or 3) deer have been eating the topiary. I know it's Option 3 because my sister came home one night and steady busted three deer munching away. Only the limited reach of the deer, who I assume are fawns, gave us the mushroom shape. If the deer were taller, the bushes might look like the Eraserhead guy from Kid 'n' Play.

Deer love roses, rhododendron, hostas, lilacs, arborvitae, pansies, blueberries and anything else you might plant. If deer are hungry enough, they will eat bark off of trees. There are plants like bayberry or gingko which deer are less likely to eat.
